Why is Hermione’s skin black o_o ? I am troubled here

Why wouldn’t she be? No where in the books did it say she was white. Also, why the idea of a black Hermione trouble you so much?

Now you know you cant have Black people in headcanons unless the book explicitly says she was a colored negro afro american chocolate ebony girl….

In the new editions of HP, J.K. Rowling writes, “Here we have Hermoine Granger, daughter of two dentists. Nevermind that those in the wizarding world don’t know about dentistry; Hermoine is a muggle. She’s also dark brown, like a crispy piece of bacon fresh out of the frying pan. Harry’s mouth watered as he looked at her. He then looked at his new friend Ron Weasely, who reminded him completely of a biscuit; he knew instantly that Ron and Hermoine would be together forever because nothing goes better with biscuits than crispy brown bacon.”
Seriously though, I haven’t read the books, but even if it *was* canon that she was white, people can and should use their fanart creativity to examine how characters would be the same or different if they were to be a different race, a different gender, a different sexuality, etc. That’s why the fanart/fanfic communities exist. Fuck all this racist, heteronormative bullshit that says that characters can only be *exactly* the way they are in canon. Once you read something, or watch it, it becomes a part of you. So you can in turn take it and maybe improve on it, or just flip it on its head a little bit.
